Ferrari Unveil SF-26 at Fiorano

Scuderia Ferrari reveals first images of the SF-26 at Fiorano, featuring increased white elements alongside the traditional Rosso Corsa red.

Scuderia Ferrari has revealed the SF-26 livery at their Fiorano test circuit, with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc present for the unveiling.

The design features more white than recent Ferrari entries, connecting to the team's historical racing colours. The traditional Rosso Corsa remains dominant on the nose and monocoque.

Fred Vasseur confirmed both drivers will complete laps at Fiorano on Friday before the car is shipped to Barcelona for next week's shakedown. Ferrari's early focus on the 2026 regulations meant limited development on last year's car after the summer break.

Technical documents released alongside the images describe the SF-26 as a "complete rethink of the car's architecture" with "cleaner lines focused on reducing weight and improving efficiency." A serrated shark-fin engine cover is visible in the renders.

Hamilton, entering his first season with Ferrari, described the 2026 changes as "the biggest in my career." The seven-time champion switched from Mercedes after 12 seasons with the Brackley team.

Ferrari has not won a drivers' championship since Kimi Raikkonen in 2007, or a constructors' title since 2008.

What stands out in the launch

The SF-26 presentation leaned into a blend of heritage and modernity. Ferrari's use of white panels is a direct nod to historic liveries and sponsor placement, while the sharper bodywork suggests the team is targeting efficiency in the new era. Visual cues like the serrated fin and a cleaner sidepod treatment hint at a tighter aero packaging strategy.

Why 2026 matters for Ferrari

With the regulation reset, Ferrari can effectively draw a line under the recent development cycle. That gives the team a chance to align the chassis and power unit projects from a clean slate, which is essential when chasing both titles again. Early track running at Fiorano is less about raw speed and more about validating systems, cooling, and baseline reliability before the winter test program.
